Airway Management
Practitioners moving into Alberta from another Canadian province - this module will help meet the following competencies:
- Conduct end-tidal carbon dioxide monitoring and interpret findings
- Utilize nasopharyngeal airway
- Utilize airway devices not requiring visualization of vocal cords and not introduced endotracheally
Cardiac Monitoring
Practitioners moving into Alberta from another Canadian province - this module will help meet the following competencies:
- Conduct 3-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) and interpret findings
IV Therapy
Practitioners moving into Alberta from another Canadian province - this module will help meet the following competencies:
- Conduct peripheral intravenous cannulation
- Utilize direct pressure infusion devices with intravenous infusions
- Administer medication via subcutaneous route
- Administer medication via intramuscular route
- Medication Glucagon
- Medication Nitrous Oxide
- Medication Salbutamol
- Medication Intravenous Dextrose
Pharmacology
Practitioners moving into Alberta from another Canadian province - this module will help meet the following competencies:
- Administer medication via intravenous route
- Medication Ipratropium Bromide
